Best Places to Visit in the Bronx
Few would think it, but the Bronx is actually named after a Dutchman, Jonas Bronck who created a settlement named New Netherland colony almost four hundred years ago. Today the area has little to show for its Dutch heritage, but there is certainly plenty to do. Here are some of the best bits.

Be sure to arrive early if you want to get a ticket because the stadium is jam packed with fans that are just waiting to holler for their favourite team. The biggest and arguably the best zoo in New York, if not the world, the Bronx Zoo is definitely something that you should experience if you’re visiting New York with your family. This place is enormous, so if you intend to visit be prepared to spend the day. With animals from all over the world there is plenty to see as well.
New York Botanical Garden
Once you’ve finished looking at the fauna then you could maybe think about checking out the flora. With 50 separate gardens and 250 acres of parkland to explore this is a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Emilio’s Pizza is a household name for New Yorkers because it serves some of the best pizza in the city. So make sure that you’ve worked up an appetite when you visit because I promise you it will be worth it.
