THE BEST THREE PLACES TO GO ON SAFARI IN AFRICA.
Africa offers the best experience that mankind can get when it comes to safaris and It undeniably beats other safari style experiences offered in other continents. The variety of wildlife and huge parks… many larger than some European countries, offer one of a kind experience. Literally, millions of people from across the globe have toured the following wildlife sanctuaries mostly found in the Eastern and the southern part of the continent mainly because of their good reputations.
If you get a chance to tour Africa, the wildlife parks are too good to miss and from my own experiences, the following safari destinations are the crème de la crème. They totally beat watching the big cat diaries or National geographic on a high definition, flat screen tv.

The lush savannah grassland of the Serengeti offer perfect views of grazers and vicious predators as they make their kills. Every year, millions of wildebeests, gazelles and zebras gather and start months of migration to Maasia Mara,a park in the neighboring country Kenya. This is the world’s largest animal migration and it attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. This spectacular natural phenomenon begins in February and is usually an easy hunting expedition to predators. Due to its vastness, it is nearly impossible to tour the whole park in a day and to do it cheaply. However, budget travel is possible so don’t despair much, with last minute safaris available for around $300 for 3 or 4 days.
MAASAI MARA, KENYA
A world renowned animal sanctuary, the Maasai Mara is the genuine African Safari Home, hosting the hardest animals to spot on foot i.e. the Big five comprising of lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino and leopard. The open jeeps used as modes of transport while touring the park offer a thrilling experience. The grassland vegetation of the Maasai Mara offer an unrestricted view of the park inclusive of the Mara river which is part of the migratory route used annually by millions of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles. It is usually a thrilling experience to watch the millions of animals tempt fate as they cross the crocodile infested river. To get a closer look, one can always decide to ditch the jeeps for a hot air balloon and get a bird’s eye view (but experiences like that run at $500 for a short time!).
OKOVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA
The most famous park in Botswana, the Okavango Delta plays home to many Botswana Safari Home Holidays; it’s a lush wetland surrounded by the arid Kalahari Desert. Home to herds of elephants, zebras, buffalos and numerous species of antelopes, the Okavango Delta is a spectacular piece of wilderness, one of the largest inland deltas in the world. Visitors to the park enjoy boat rides through the maze like channels as they explore palm fringed islands and lily covered lagoons, as well as fun activities such as exciting activities such as guided bushwalks, game drives, horse and elephant back safaris. This unique wetland offers spectacular view resembling that of a beautiful mosaic and has been repeatedly featured on National geographic.
